Title: [Theme] Show me your eyes!
Post by: Billie Jean on March 26, 2016, 21:32:00
I have been searching through the forum, but I couldn't find any serial thread of eyes.
So I thought that it would be nice that I start one.

On the one of these photos is my mother's beautiful eye :)

I hope you will share the beauty and the depth of eyes that you manage to capture!  ;D

Insects have eyes too - large ones.

This is a section of the compound eye of a housefly. 25X magnification, using RGB filters on a microflash device.

Thank you, Erik! I'm glad that you like it :)

Bjørn, I just love how blue and brown colour of the iris can be noticed. Great photo!
And that eye of a housefly - beautiful and frightening at the same time. Love it!
Thank you for sharing those big and beautiful eyes!  ;D

I know I cannot compete with all these beautifully captured eyes. Never-mind. My son Luka.

Well, eyes have a very special emotional place for me and I am a modest supporter of the Royal Blinds Society in UK.

Nice one Jakov :)
Almass - stunning. I have a special place for deaf people again - maybe we should have an "ear" thread too
The editing of the image is superb.

Almass that is outstanding, pure velvet ;)

Elsa, that's very strange white eye... so cool!

Jakov, I like so much Luka's eye and how there is your reflection in his pupil :)

Almass - this eye looks so soft and gentle. Really wonderful! :)

Thank you Billy Jean for looking. Yes its a very anemic looking eye - from a flamingo. Eyes are the most important for me in any live thing - but it's hard if the eye disappears - as it the bird doesn't want you to know it has an eye

Post by: Billie Jean on March 27, 2016, 19:29:25
Elsa, I agree, but then you feel like a winner when you succeed to capture that disappearing eye, right? :)
There is one very nice eye, and a fancy make up, I must say! :)

One blue-coloured eye from me  ;)

thanks Billy Jean (again)  ;D
Your eye at least looks natural - my one is extremely touched up as photos for make up or beauty can not be used unless every spot is cleaned up.

Almass, your soft and gentle image is stunning!

Now, back to my kind of eyes :)
I don't know why I never shot eyes before...
My son again. IR.

Elsa, the skin on your photo is super clean and I like that :)
Jakov - blurred and blue eye ...I love it! For some reason it remainds me of the sun :D

And more eyes...it will become an obsession  ;D

I feel like the eyes go with a face and that on their own don't illustrate the entire picture.
In other words, what's an eye without a nose :)

Wow! Jan Anne, this is fascinating! :)
Jakov, then we should say that eyes and nose are the mirror of the soul :D by the way, really cool nose on the photo!  ;D  ;)

Ana, I don't much about an eye, a mirror, and a soul
What would the ones without a mirror do
Jan Anne should visit Apenheul
What's an eye without a hairdo :)
