It's a very classy looking B&W.
I could happily take 10-15 degrees of that temperature and import it to where I am...
By the way I love Orvieto and the land for many km around it, it is linked to some nice memories of younger years.

Beautiful images of the Duomo Eddie. 

When Mary and I visited there two years ago, it was in the high 30’s.  The 40’s did not come until 2 days later.

We should bare in mind that the officially published temperature is measured at around 1.5m above the grasses in the shadow.  So, the temperature right on the stone under the sun should be MUCH higher!   :o

42C is definitely a little too hot, the week after in Tuscany was much easier with temperatures around 30C. There are many nice places in Europe to go to for summer holiday by car (from The Netherlands), Umbria and Tuscany being among the nicest.
