showed it to my wife and asked her what color is the eye, she said gren blue, hmm like emerald green

so there

I always have trouble with blues and greens

In the 200% crop I do see that the eye is distinctly green while the rear of the beak is blue, whereas in the smaller scale version they both looked blue.

Thank  you very much all for your colour feedback. Perhaps the original image's eye was too small to get a clear idea of the colour (which is at best an almost mix of green/blue). In real life it is a stunningly beautiful colour distinct to these creatures.

Yes, the color of the eye looks like beautiful emerald green even on my uncalibrated monitor.  :)

thanks Bill - feedback is much appreciated. Frankly, Mongo is now a little worried about the colour from what at least three of you have said. Mongo has attached a 200% crop showing the eye in larger detail. It still looks emerald green on Mongo's monitor.   Does this still look blue to viewers ??
