Frank, why is the glass "tainted" or do you mean "tinted" or even "painted"??

Or stained.

Tainted has unpleasant connotations.

Stained is probably more appropriate.

So what about the pubs Frank?

And in the town near where I live, many of the older houses seem to have internal doors with stained glass windows in them.
